Are you ready to make Bible study a priority? Would you love to be more familiar with the stories and passages in scripture? Do you long to connect with God and strengthen your faith?
Friend, you are in the right place. This podcast will help you understand your Bible, apply verses to your life, and become more confident with the who, where, and why in scripture
Hi, I’m Angie. I’m a pastor and Bible teacher. For years, even though I knew God loved me, I still dealt with defeating doubts about my value and purpose. It wasn’t until I began deeply studying the Bible that I experienced a heart transformation that allowed me to recognize the lies of the enemy that kept me stuck in shame and defeat. Studying scripture allowed me to stand firm on God’s promises that offer peace, joy, hope, and rest. I created a Step By Step Bible study method that teaches you to find life application in one word of scripture, and I will share it with you in these episodes.
If you crave a deep dive into scripture…
Bible study tools you can trust…
And a method designed to equip you to study with confidence…
Then, pull up a seat at our table, open your heart, and prepare to hear God speak directly to you.

God often begins renewal with removal.
The Festival of Unleavened Bread is a weeklong invitation to learn how to live as people set free. Removing every trace of yeast from their homes became a powerful picture of the quiet compromises, old patterns, and familiar fears God longs to clear out of our hearts.
In this episode, Angie continues the Gather series with Leviticus 23:6 and explores how the Feast of Unleavened Bread shows us that salvation delivers us, holiness forms us, and God gently guides us to make room for the freedom He’s already given.
What you’ll hear in this week’s episode
- How Unleavened Bread invited Israel to step into a new way of life
- Why yeast (leaven) became a biblical picture of sin, pride, and subtle corruption that quietly spreads if left alone
- A personal story about how a simple Hallmark movie scene nudged Angie to slow down, see clearly, and notice where God is still bringing freedom
- A common lie we believe, You can’t get rid of all the sin in you, so why try?, and the hopeful truth of Psalm 103:8
- Practical ways to “watch for the leaven” in everyday life and invite God to gently show what needs to be cleared out
